I don’t write a lot about work for a variety of reasons, but yesterday was a good primary project day. I worked at my site’s booth in a science and technology exposition for kids. The focus of our booth was alternative energy, and there was a hands-on activity where the kids got to see wind, solar, and chemical energy work. A mini solar cell ran a calculator, then the kids had to hook up a potato and a lime to generate enough chemical energy to also run the calculator. It was exhausting, but a lot of fun and I either learned a lot of new words in Spanish or explained things incorrectly the whole day. I don’t have enough time to edit all the photos today, because I need to pack for the weekend and head off to pick up my Mom at the airport!
